BlueLocks concept 
By combining the established technologies of MIFARE, RF and Powerline communication, BlueLocks is a solution that add's full network capability to battery powered locks.The system will work with any 13.56MHz card/tag/token which means that you can utilse existing card populations rather than having to issue new cards.

How it works
The tag is first registered with the individual establishment or on a central web server (to remove the need to register at each individial location)
On presenting the tag, the establishment sets access permissions against the individual
When the user presents the tag to the door reader, the data is sent from the lock via an RF link to the RF-Powerline controller
The RF-Powerline controller then converts the data stream to Ethernet and sends this data stream over the buildings electrical circuit to the host PC where the data is checked against the local database or is passed onto the web server for validation.
The validated message is then returned to the lock via the reverse route where the door is released or remains locked.
